Mythbusters: Law School Edition
Sept. 19 at 5:30 pm in Room A of the
Law Building
Myths about law school abound. How
difficult is the workload? Do law students ever sleep? What is it really like
to be a law student? This workshop, co-hosted by the College of Law, is a fun
and interactive way to learn the truth about the law school experience. We will
use I-clickers to poll the audience, then hear the inside scoop from current
law students. No registration necessary.
Applying to Law School Workshop:
Creating an Application Strategy and Using the LSAC
Sept. 24 from 4:00-5:30 pm
161 Noyes
Smart applicants set themselves up
for success by applying to the right law schools at the right time. This
workshop, designed for students who will be applying to law school this fall,
covers many of the details of the application process. First, we will discuss
how to develop an application strategy. With over 200 law schools to choose
from, how can students make an intelligent choice of 6-10 schools to which to
apply? We'll demonstrate how to develop a smart strategy. Next, we will be
discussing the Law School Admission Council's Credential Assembly Service and
we'll demonstrate step by step the process of collecting recommendations,
submitting transcripts, and applying through their online service. Bring your
questions about the application process. No registration necessary.
